Tarot
The story…
Divination, prediction, considerations about past, present and future. These are some of the terms directly linked to the Tarot.
Its origin is not certain, some say that it appeared in the century XV in Italy, and that only later gained its strength in France. However, research indicates that the Egyptians already used the Tarot, as did the Romans. There are many other theories that indicate that the Gypsy ethnicity brought the Tarot to Europe, spreading its reading in wealthy noble families.
The truth, is that Tarot is a very ancient and fascinating art of divination. With 78 cards, divided into 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana, they bring magic and charm to their illustrations. The most well-known deck is the Marseille Tarot.
Each card has its own interpretation, and each interpretation varies depending on the person and the situation that has or will pass. Thus, according to the person’s particular experience, each card may be associated with specific myths and archetypes.
Minor Arcana
They are divided into four suits, each with 14 cards, and the ten cards numbered from 1 to 10 symbolize the minor issues of everyday life, be they emotional, behavioral, etc. The Clubs suit represents your projects, the Hearts suit your emotions, Spades represent your actions and Diamonds represent your money.
The remaining 4 cards, the court cards (King, Queen, Knight and Jack), represent the people and benefits present in your life, the way you deal with them and, consequently, our defects, qualities and how we relate with the world.
