Prayer to Saint Marcellin – Saint of Hope and Belief

hope and belief Prayer Saint Marcellin
prayer to Saint Marcellin

This prayer to Saint Marcellin is indicated to strengthen your hope and belief.

The parents of St. Marcellin, John the Baptist and Mary Theresa, merchants, had 10 children: Marcellin was the ninth.

At the age of fourteen, a priest visited his house, he was “recruiting” young people for the seminary; he said to Marcellin, “You have to study to be a priest. It is God’s wish.” And Marcellin made a decision: he joined the seminary.

Three years later, he was ordained and he was brought to Valla. The poor children had no school or catechist, and the adults only went to church. Marcellin began to speak to the people, he became close to everyone, and the people accepted him with affection.

After a strong experience with a dying young man, Champagnat decided to build a congregation of Brothers dedicated to the teaching and catechists of children and young people, especially those most in need.

St. Marcellin created the Marist Brothers. More young people were soon arriving. Marcellin helped them to organize their lives in the community: prayer and work, personal formation, sensitivity and poverty.

Marcellin Champagnat was indeed a great man, who completed an extraordinary work: he cared as good pastor for the people of his parish, attended to orphans and elders, but above all he devoted himself to the religious education of youth.

Priest  Marcellin Champagnat was declared “Blessed” in Rome by SS Pius XII on May 29, 1955, Pentecost Sunday. After a long and detailed study, the experts had declared the authenticity of two miracles obtained through his intercession. The canonization ceremony of Priest Marcellin Champagnat was celebrated on Sunday, April 18, 1999.

Prayer to Saint Marcellin – I ask for hope

Saint Marcellin Champagnat, during your life you walked in the presence of God, full of faith and in the deep filial trust of the protection of Mary, and were merciful to your neighbor, full of love and affection for the poor and little ones, the favorites of God.

Therefore, with great confidence we address you.

May the grace of the Lord grant us… (cite the request).

This we ask for the glory of God, our beloved Father.

Saint Marcelino Champagnat, pray for us!
